Ashé Music CD Release Party

Ashé Cultural Arts Center is releasing its first music CD entitled:
"ART FOR LIFE - A CRESCET CITY REVIVAL."


The CD Project is a collaboration between Ashé and the Tulane University TIDES Business Class.
To celebrate the release of the music CD we have planned two CD Release Events:

Friday, March 30, 2007
11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Tulane University Student Center
Ashé will provide bus transportation to Tulane. (Bus leaves @ 10:45am)

Friday, April 20, 2007
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
at Ashé Cultural Arts Center, 1712 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd.

The disc is a compilation of ten Ashé artists who each have contributed a song to the project.
The list of artists is impressive, they include:

o The Gospel Queen of New Orleans, Reverend Lois Dejean
o Gospel, Legend, Jo Cool Davis
o World Music award winners, Bamboula 2000
o Reggae Queens, Zion Trinity
o Mother Tongue
o Def Poetry Jam word artist, Sunni Patterson
o Rudy and the Caribbean Funk Band
o Lloyd Daly featuring Sula and Baba Luther

ART FOR LIFE – A CRESCENT CITY REVIVAL will be available at the Ashé Cultural Arts Center our website and at selected outlets.

CINDY SHEEHAN - Teach-in at Ashé - CANCELLED

Do to Cindy's illness, all events this weekend in New Orleans have been cancelled, including the March 30th lecture and teach-in at Ashe Cultural Arts Center, with Tulane Amnesty International, and St Bernard Housing.

KATRINA WARRIORS V-DAY - Meeting Correction
